About our Studio

We’re located in the historic Mill Race Village of shops in Mount Holly, New Jersey. You can find The Vintage Sister Studio at 16 Church Street at the side entrance.

Mill Race Village has ample parking, with a parking lot directly across the street from our front door and another one just a short block away.

At the bottom of this page, read all about our lovely neighborhood and all it has to offer!

The Vintage Sister Studio is a colorful and creative space that’s filled with beautiful natural light and cheerful decor. There’s plenty of work space for students and comfy chairs upholstered in bright vintage fabrics.

Everything in the studio has been upcycled, thrifted, or lovingly repurposed in some way. Those chairs you see? We hand painted and reupholstered them so they’re each unique. The curtains? Reused from another space and sewn from a thrifted shower curtain.

Our craft materials and supplies are stored in vintage tins, bowls, and ceramic planters from decades past.

Wondering who the smiling gal is wearing a pink feather boa and rhinestone studded glasses? It’s our grandmother, Kathryn Marshall, who lived a very long life, passing in 2019 just shy of her 104th birthday.

The photo was taken at the party we hosted for her 100th (leap year) birthday just a few doors down from the studio. It was one of the happiest days of her life because she was surrounded by all of her friends and family.

Kathryn was a very special, creative woman in our lives. She certainly passed her talents and love of crafts down to us. She dabbled in a lot of different things, but really enjoyed counted cross stitch the most.

She’ll always have a special place in our hearts and now she has the perfect spot in our happy place where she can watch over us, always.

Our Story

For much of our adult lives, we’ve had a dream of running a business together. The exact type of business has changed many times over the years, but living that dream together has always the plan.

Since 2008, we’ve gone on an annual Sister’s Getaway Weekend, where we spend several days hunting treasures, spoiling ourselves at Bed & Breakfasts, and generally having a great time. These annual trips are where we feed our vintage addictions and brainstorm business ideas.

Tracy has been hosting craft nights out of her home for many years. Both of us are thrifters and vintage resellers. Combining our collective talents, creativity, and love of vintage, we proudly bring you The Vintage Sister Studio: an eclectic, fun space to teach art, crafts, and all things creative to students looking for a unique experience.

About Tracy

Tracy Nuskey-Dodson has been expressing herself through art since she was old enough to hold a crayon. She has a degree from Hussian School of Art in Philadelphia, PA and has been published in various art magazines including Somerset Studio Gallery and Holidays & Celebrations.

Tracy is an artist who likes to have fun and enjoys expressing this in her art. Her love for color, polka dots and all things vintage, have a huge presence in her work.

In her paintings, she uses bits and pieces of re-purposed and or recycled items including buttons, tickets and various vintage book pages and sheet music.Tracy has been selling her art on-line for several years and has work hanging in homes from Australia to Sweden and lots of places in between. She resides in Mount Laurel, NJ with her husband, two sons and two cats.

About Mandy

Mandy Gendek is a lover of all things crafty and vintage and has been blending both of those passions most of her adult life. Under the name One Cozy Nest (est. 2005), she collects, resells, and crafts with the vintage treasures she finds at flea markets and yard sales.

She spent the early part of her career working in the environmental field and is now working in research & innovation at the same agency, where she’s been employed since 2001.

When she’s not working, you can usually find her spending time with family, gardening, crafting, or hunting for vintage and antique treasures with her husband or sister. Mandy also lives in New Jersey, just outside the historic city of Bordentown with her husband, two sons, and daughter.
